BOOK AUTHOR CELEBRATES Amidst ice cream, kid-friendly meals, and a nostalgic atmosphere, Screamers Café in Stratham will be hosting the publication party for "An American Flag for Their Father" by Annmarie Georgopolis. Screamers is located at 72 Portsmouth Ave. in the Stratham Plaza. The book party is Saturday, June 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is welcome. PublishingWorks representatives will be on hand to help celebrate its latest childrens book. "An American Flag for Their Father" tells the story of Meghan and Jonathan Hickey, whose dad is serving in the Middle East. They are determined to buy a "humungous" flag for his homecoming, but need to raise the money to do so. With the help of their grandparents on Plum Island, as well as a group of generous veterans, Meghan and Jonathan reach their goal. But the story doesn¹t end there. A surprise awaits the two children, and they learn about perseverance, responsibility, and old-fashioned etiquette. Books will be on sale at Screamers. For further information, please call PublishingWorks at (603) 778-9883,
or Screamer's at (603) 775-7577.
